In occasione del Social Forum Europeo tenutosi a Firenze dal 6 al 9 di novembre 2002, la Rete Lilliput ha promosso la donazione al Comune di Firenze di"Pluie - La Pioggia", una statua dello scultore belga Jean Michel Folon. L'opera è alta circa tre metri e rappresenta un uomo che si ripara con un ombrello fatto di acqua. Dal febbraio del 2003 la statua è stata collocata nella rotonda stradale posta di fronte all’Obihall.
La sistemazione non è casuale: Folon è un artista contemporaneo, l’Obihall è un Teatro moderno, probabilmente uno dei più moderni e funzionali d'Italia, che ben si identifica con la contemporaneità dell'artista.
Come è stato da molti sottolineato, l'opera sembra forse auspicare ad un nuovo e più sincero rapporto tra l'uomo e la natura, tra l'uomo e l'ambiente che lo circonda; un rapporto che in primo luogo dovrebbe essere basato sul rispetto e non sullo sfruttamento della natura stessa.

On the occasion of the European Social Forum held in Florence from 6 to 9 November 2002, Lilliput network promoted the donation to the city of Florence of"Pluie-Rain", a statue of the Belgian sculptor Jean Michel Folon. The work is about three metres and represents a man who repairs with an umbrella made of water. Since February 2003 the statue was placed in the roundabout in front of the Obihall.
The arrangement is not random: Folon is a contemporary artist, the Obihall is a modern theatre, probably one of the most modern and functional in Italy, which identifies with the contemporaneity of the artist.
As has been pointed out by many, the work seems to perhaps hope for a new and more honest relationship between man and nature, between man and the environment that surrounds it; a report in the first place should be based on respect and on the exploitation of nature itself.
