De moeder aarde de universele godin. Op een eilandje in Cola-kreek voorheen de Grubbenzee. Gemaakt door Chaim Oren. De bollen op haar jurk zijn de hemellichamen, de Grote en de Kleine Beer. Zij symboliseren de verbinding tussen hemel en aarde. Ze heeft haar rechteroog open, haar linkeroog is gesloten. Zij knijpt een oogje toe. Ook 's-nachts waakt ze, sinds een jaar verlicht.
De Surinaamse moeder Aarde, de universele godin, de belangrijkste aan te roepen godheid in de winti-cultuur. Zij staat symbool voor de verbroedering van de verschillende nationaliteiten. De bollen op haar jurk en in het gras representeren Grote en Kleine Beer. Deze sterrebeelden symboliseren de verbinding tussen hemel en aarde.
Moeder Aarde Aïsa werd gemaakt in het kader van het ‘Blij met de Bijlmer’ festival. Het Stadsdeel Bijlmer schonk het aan de Creoolse gemeenschap. Sindsdien resideert ze op een eiland in het water dat bij de onthulling van het beeld"Cola-kreek" is gedoopt naar de gelijknamige vijver in Paramaribo. Ze waakt daar over de harmonie tussen de diverse etnische groepen.

‘'Vluchtwegen' (2006) is een roman van de Nederlandse schrijver Michiel van Kempen, auteur van het proefschrift 'Een geschiedenis van de Surinaamse literatuur' (2003) dat eveneens bij De Geus verscheen. 'Vluchtwegen' behandelt een in de Nederlandse literatuur niet eerder aan de orde gestelde thematiek: de wording van de Nederlandse multiculturele samenleving zoals die zich heeft afgespeeld in de Bijlmermeer vanaf het midden van de jaren zestig tot 4 oktober 1992, de dag dat een Boeing van El Al neerstortte op de flats Groeneveen en Kruitberg.
Eenheidsmotief in het verhaal is het grote beeld van Moeder Aarde midden in de Bijlmer, beschilderd met kleurige schietdoelen. Het beeld is van de kunstenaar Chaim Oren, in de roman: Aaron Lobel.
