A Milano a Piazza Del Carmine, nel cuore di Brera, si trova la scultura di Igor Mitoraj 'Petto a metà'. Igor Mitoraj è uno scultore polacco ancora vivente, che ama realizzare prevalentemente busti maschili. Il suo stile è fortemente radicato nella tradizione classica, infatti Igor si ispira a personaggi mitologici come Eros, Venere, Icaro, il Centauro, ma con una vena post-moderna. Infatti le sue sculture sono sempre incomplete, frammentate, mutilate. Ad alcune sue statue però mancano le gambe, ad altre il mento, ad altre manca quasi tutto. Alla scultura milanese 'Petto a metà' mancano gli occhi e le braccia, ma non gli manca il cuore. Bene! Per questo non mi stupirei se un giorno, passando da Piazza del Carmine, trovassi la statua rigenerata, nuovamente completa.
