On September 19, the opening ceremony of the 2014 Shanghai Jing’an International Sculpture Project (JISP) was held in Jing’an Sculpture Park. Domestic and international sculpture artists, enthusiasts and consular officials from the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Belgium and Spain were invited to the event.
On the opening ceremony, cultural celebrities like Xi Meijuan, Chen Gang and Liang Boluo, sculpture artists including Wang Luyan, Nadim Karam and Alex Rinsle, as well as national model workers Dong Zhiyi and Li Genwang, jointly ignited the symbolic light of art to unveil the 2014 JISP.
With the theme of 'City Paradise', the 2014 JISP has selected 59 pieces of work by 15 artists from 11 countries including China, Korea, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Lebanon, the Netherlands and the UK. The exhibition will last for two months.
