Timo Artturi Solin, born December 7, 1947 in Tampere, Finland, is a Finnish-Swedish sculptor, painter and author.
Timo Solin grew up in a textile worker's family in Tampere. In the 1960s he began to approach art first as a painting artist and then also as a lyricist. He moved from Tampere to Sweden in 1975 and conducted art studies for some time. From the 1980s he began to sculpt, first in wood, with sculptures that were exhibited in Rottneros sculpture park , and later in bronze and from 1985 on plate. He had his first solo exhibition at Gallery Aix in Stockholm in 1982.
