Water glides over paste mud. The slices are staggered from each other and are sharpened to become ridges. Between the stacks arise slots.
There is no escape for the water: the fluid slipes outside the slope and between the grooves.

Water glijdt over plakken blubber. De plakken liggen als stapels verspringend van elkaar en zijn tot scherpe richels uitgesleten. Tussen de stapels ontstaan gleuven.
Voor het water is er geen ontkomen aan: het vocht glijdt buitenom de helling en tussen de groeven door.
Het is mooi dat kunst lelijk mag zijn. En wat fijn dat het water het ook mooi maken kan. Canyoneaustrate van Gerard Singer speelt met uitersten.
