You can find two copper sculptures at either end of the Grand Palais on the corners of the front facade, which are known as quadrigas, and these were produced by the sculptor Georges Recipon, the first being called Immortality Outstripping Time that is on the Champs Elysees side, and the other quadriga that you can see in this close up photo is called Harmony Triumphing Over Discord that faces the River Seine side, yet these beautiful statues are often just referred to as the Galloping Horses.

Georges Recipon (January 17, 1860 - May 2, 1920), son of the Odiot goldsmith / silversmith Paul Edmond Recipon (1832–1898),[1] was a French painter and sculptor whose major work is probably his sculpture at the Grand Palais in Paris, two monumental and exuberant quadrigas on the building's roof.
